Built by Felipe II in the 16th century to watch over the coast. Some of these were built to warn in case of attack, as apparently Turkish pirate attacks were quite frequent. It is specifically located on the south bank of the Júcar Estuary, today no longer lies on the bank because a high tide diverted the canal to the north. Nice history and building.
