I love it dearly , chestnuts roasted eaten while cold wind is blowing . My favorite .

Ooooo... I love chestnuts! When I was a little girl, my dad would bring home a bag of chestnuts. Rather than roasting them, he would cut off the pointed end, boil them, and drain them. He would then spread out a piece of newspaper and we would sit down together and peel the chestnuts, sprinkle with some salt and indulge. I have such fond memories of those times together...
