Interesting image of the Montes Teneriffe! (S.W. of Plato).
P.S.: Something about William Radcliff Birt and the lunar Teneriffe mountains...
According to page 222 in Ewen A. Whitaker's book MAPPING AND NAMING THE MOON, the separate peaks of the Teneriffe mountains should have been called PETORA, GUAJARA, RAMBLETA, ALTA VISTA, and CHAJORRA.
Unfortunately, none of these five names appeared on Birt's lunar maps or elsewhere.
Maybe there's someone on the web who knows the exact locations of Birt's five separate Teneriffe peaks?
