Sadly, this plant was eaten by pigs exactly a year after I took the photo. :( It never had the chance to grow into an adult, so it never flowered or produced fruit to make more 'aku.

Update: when I found it eaten, I packed its exposed and cropped little rootlet in mud and moss, and in September 2008 I returned to find that it had a couple of new leaves. Perhaps it will survive! :)

November 2009: Still growing, but still nowhere near as large as the original plant yet.
