Myrmecophila brysiana

Smithsonian, Washington DC

While I'm on the road this computer does a much better job of
creating widescreen wallpapers than any other format. So, I've
finished one of the orchids I shot last Sunday in that format, while
I anxiously await an opportunity to get some new shots tomorrow.

This gorgeous bloom was one of many on the end of a very long
inflorescence (stem) approx. 6-7 feet long.
