Bald Eagle

Blackwater NWR, Cambridge, MD

As I was leaving Blackwater and only a mile from Cambridge MD, I noticed
what looked like some vultures digging into a dead bird. As I "flew" by
I noticed one of the birds had a white head. I hit the brakes and did my
best to get closer only to find a family of five eagles finishing up what
must have been a goose. As every one stopped most of the birds flew off
but I managed to get several good shots. This time I hadn't put my
camera away as I left the refuge ;0)
