Cycnoches William Clark

Home, California, MD

One of the nice things about practicing on great flowers is that
when one comes in bloom at home I have a better chance of getting a
good shot of it. I took this shot with the flower proped up on my
computer desk and flashes and tripods stuck where I could fit
them in the room. Very minor adjustments in Capture NX and a couple
dust spots removed in CS3.
I downloaded Helicon Focus today and tried it on a shot I had previously
blended in CS3 and posted yesterday, I ended up with some significant "halos"
because of the significant change in focus distance which required a bit of
PS work to correct but I like the end product better, so the jury is still out.
Here is the shot:
Helicon Focus Test

Nikon D200 ,Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D AF Micro
1/60s f/11.0 at 105.0mm iso100 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto
