Stanhopea nigripes

Washington DC

I got a couple of shots in today in DC.
This is the first of a couple of interesting blooms.

This Stanhopea had just openned and the blooms don't usually last more than
a couple of days so I was real lucky to get it in such prime shape! Stanhopeas
actually grow their blooms downward so they must be hung to grow.
I hope you enjoy it.
