Patuxent Sunset

NAS Patuxent River, MD

Sunset last night, as I went out to catch some ospreys feeding, I think I was a little late,
going to try again today ;o))

There is a big lesson in this shot! I got this shot as I was heading home, the light
had failed near the osprey nests. Right on top on the bar sticking out was a big blue heron.
As I parked quickly and stepped out for the shot and brought the VR lens up to shoot the lens cap
was still on ;o( Won't do that again!!

My network went down yesterday so no updates and more importantly no comments, I WILL catch
up tonight!! -BJ

Stunning sunset with or without the heron. Don't feel bad, I just learned that my camera doesn't work if I don't turn it on. :-)

Breathtaking sunset.
Sometimes it takes me 2 minutes to figure out why the camera isn't showing anything,
LOL at the comments, esp BW :)

Beautiful shot, BJ. Don't feel bad. My parents sponsored a senior class trip to D.C. back in the 50's, and left their
lens cap on all week!
