Sunset overlooking the Rio Grande Gorge near Taos.
A seven year drought had weekened all the juniper
trees to the point where a parasitic beetle was killing
them all. You can see the one in the forground turning brown.
The loss of trees was overwhelming, It looked like there
had been a fire that had stretched literally over a
hundred miles.
