2nd - Va Va Vroom

near Little Comberton, Worcs.

A friend at work asked me to take some pics of him on his new bike - a Honda CBF1000 apparently - with dinner and a few beers as payment in kind. Of course I said yes, I mean how hard could this be, I asked myself as I drove over this afternoon - shutter priority @ 1/125th or higher, continuous drive mode, battery grip on...a doddle!

But no, I soon realised it's a completely different way of photo-ing, I managed to get about a dozen good (ie. not crap) shots out of about two hundred I loosed off....not a good percentage

I like the one above best; it's 90% as is out-of-the-camera with only a tad of Levels - it makes Rob look like the bastard son of Darth Vader and a Borg, which of course he's not...at least I don't *think* he is...

Doesn't get much more dynamic than this. Not easy to do, but you got it.

I like this too! Yeah, I started with action shots so it comes easy for me. But, it can be very tricky. I love the motion in this one. This is waaaaaaaaaaay cool!

Whoooosh! Yes, I find it much easier taking pics of inanimate objects too :o) I can't seem to remember to keep panning the camera when I press the shutter button :o/
You've got the full sense of speed thing going on here though!
