12th - Jointery

Cheltenham, Glos.

I'm fascinated by scaffolding - I've never been able to work out how it stays up...I mean, why doesn't it just fall over? What keeps it from falling?? It never seems to be physically attached to the building (this example isn't) it just stands there, solid as a rock with no visible means of support...if there are any scaffolders out there can you tell me how it's done??

I just saw Truro Cathedral covered in Scaffold and it's as you say amazing that it all holds together and people trust it.
Nice sharp shot of yours, less rusty than a lot that is around
