Badger Beers

Cheltenham, Glos

Walter's display earlier this week of fine American ales prompted me to do a bit of mid-week shopping at my preferred off-licence. Hurrah! they had just what I wanted for tonight's shot, three of my favouritest bottled English beer from the wonderful Badge Brewery in Dorset (see: http://www.hall-woodhouse.co.uk/).

Each of these is so different - ginger and spices in the Blandford Fly, peach and melon in Golden Glory and real badger essence in the First Gold...it really is wonderful beer :o)

I may be late to work tomorrow. Ah well....

Cheers. Gorgeous light, Doug. I am not a beer drinker and my husband drinks only Heineken for beer. But this looks great.

Beautifull labels, as for flavored beer, I tried them all here, even the thanksgiving one ... pumpkin. I really just prefer the unflavored ones.

The Blandford Fly has got a bite to remember Doug.
Yes I enjoy a few beers myself, It only takes me one and I become more of the Village Idiot than usual.
I like the back lighting ,well done Doug.

I like the image, and the Blandford Fly or Golden Glory sound intriguing. Badger essence?? Hope no badgers were injured producing it.

It's good you took the shot before polishing off the contents Doug. Like David, I have some concerns about Badger essence in my beer

'badger essence' does sound a bit dodgy....still an appealing and auspicious trio...V

And "chin chin" to you! Very dramatic lighting here! V.

Thanks for the memory - this takes me back to happy holidays in the New Forest - very neat with the light beaming off the Golden Glory.

Like the back lighting on the bottles. Peach and melon sound good.

Badger is a new one to me! They all sound so delicious too.

Yum, a cold beer in summer, that's great and these look delicious. But is it still summer...??? I think I get some red wine...
Johnny JAG17-Sep-2009 19:49
Nicely presented, not sure about the Badger essence though! I hope it doesn't smell like Badger!!!
Mairéad17-Sep-2009 19:35
We can get lots of beers like these in Sainsburys in Newry but I must admit
I prefer wine. Nice lighting.

Now your talking. Good British ales. I have to confess I have tried them all. Don't know what that says about me :-)Nice lighting by the way.

Golden shot...I love it!

Don't you love the character and variety of beer. So under appreciated over here in the States.

These look delicious. Very nice presentation with the back lighting.
I just checked our local Bevmo and they do not have the Badger. I'll have to visit you in England to have one. :)
