Misty's original Pet Trekkers caption:

"Misty was 2 years old last June 1st (we think).She is a Blue Minature Pincher which means she's a dusty black. Misty is our 4th MinPin. All the others were black and tan. She was found on the streets of Reno, Nevada when she was about 2 months old and 2 pounds (slightly underweight). She is now a "fat" 8 pounds. Our daughter, a vet in Reno, happened to be at the Humane Society the day Misty was brought in. After waiting the 10 days for her to be claimed, she brought her to us. We had been 2 years without a dog, since our Rocky had died at 16. Misty is supposed to be my dog but she had other ideas and became her "daddy's girl." Three of the four MinPins we have had have been rescued from agencies."

Misty still lives in the park and is doing well though diabetes has dimmed her vision.
