G is for Goose

38 of 365

This goose has seen better days and wouldn't be noticed by many (and indeed is not photo-worthy
but for the memories that it provides me.) It lives across the street on my neighbor's house and
has some sentimental value (though the neighbor who lives at the house does not and is known as
"Cranky Lady" in our house and actually amongst some of our neighbors...but that's a story for
another time.) We live in a townhouse development and the townhouses look alike unless you are a
regular visitor. My mother would tell my little great-niece (age 5 at the time) that she needed to
look for the goose and that Aunt Brenda and Uncle Doug lived directly across from the goose. Soon after,
little Ariana helped HER mother find our place by telling her mommy that they had to look for the goose!

Ah, a directional goose! I like the story behind it.
