Today, however, there is no fuel left in the drums and Mother Nature has restored the waters to their former pristine glory, but on the land there is still evidence of the pollution and the drums are an eyesore in such a beautiful landscape. Few people visit this place (it is cut off by the sea ice for much of the year) so I suppose it is a case of ‘out of sight, out of mind’.
