The water looked very clean from a distance, but on closer examination it was quite polluted with a lot of raw sewage floating near the shore. Away from the village though, the water was crystal clear. There is almost no air pollution in Greenland, although you might just be able to detect some smoke on the horizon which is from the open burning of garbage at the Tasiilaq rubbish dump.
