Everything in this collection is a 'Bente nuebe' - which simply means 29 in Spanish. As the legend goes a warrior once used a Balisong to defeat 29 individuals in war. To commemorate his heroic feat, they named his weapon Bente nuebe. As legends go, throughout the years the legend was 'exaggerated' making this man seem like he carried a 29 INCH balisong saber and skewered 29 individuals in one go.

The knife is more liek 29 CM., and is refered to the locals as the 'official' size Balisong. Surprisingly it is not a bad size compared to the more common 4 inch blade. These knves sport a 5 inch blade.
