The Skinner garden, now owned and maintained by Dot Turlington, contains a number of species Henry Skinner, first Director of the US National Arboretum, collected across the Southeast, and a number of hybrids he created after his retirement to Hendersonville, North Carolina.Labels have been lost over the years, and the plants are now identified by number.
