'Purple'

periclymenoides selection
This deep fuchsia form of periclymenoides was discovered in the 1960s by Mrs. Rosa Cottingham of Efffingham, SC, near Flat Creek Heritage Preserve and Forty-Acre Rock in Lancaster County, SC. It was sold for the past 10 years or more by Woodlanders Nursery in Aiken SC, as 'Nudiflorum Purple', now (2009) sold by them as R. periclymenoides 'Purple', and named 'Flat Creek Fuchsia' * by Mike Creel of Lexington, SC.
