I got this lens for just such circumstances & I am please with the results I got from its maiden voyage
the VR helps, even when using MF ...Nikon did a great job with the VR which helps greatly even when using MF over ride & an extension tube
this spider's body is about a centimeter across
note what I think is freshly spun web coming from its mid thorax, seen better in the full resolution crop that follows
