Thanks for the comment. However, in spite of the resemblance, this is not a jumping spider (Salticidae), rather it belongs to a quite different family with cribellate webs called Eresidae. This species makes burrows with its cribellate sheet extending from it. The pictured male makes no burrows, rather wanders in search for the female.

Hay, stunning shot! What equipment did you use? I saw a few specimen of this species this year (more than ever before), but they all were too fast to take a good picture (how did you make it pose for you?) Big vote!
