Six Degrees of Separation

In November 2004, Steven Spielberg shot the last scene of his remake of "The War of the Worlds" here on Polhemus Place in Brooklyn which was the location stand-in for Boston. On this very spot stood Tom Cruise as he approached the townhouse of his ex-wife's parents. Cruise's character is named, ahem, Ray.

Feel lucky to live very near where the opening pages of the book feature (Horsell Common). Our town has made quite a bit of it. HG Wells also lived in the town for a few years. Nice to see the transatlantic counterpart to my image today.
