Spent my 18th Birthday in a Bar in WanChai in 73. Only place I know of you could get a Party Ticket and Drink all night, just don't try to stay all night as you may end up gettin slipped a mickey if you drink too much.

Went into Pinky's one night in 82 (tattoo Parlors were OFF Limits to US Navy personnel) only to find my Division Officer laying across two chairs Drunk on San Miguel Beer getting a Tatto on his back side. Needless to say I am sure he had a hard time explaining to the other officers in the wardroom why he couldn't sit down the next day!

spent many a good time in th wanch,well what i can remember anyway i was always drunk
been in many dodgy dives like this in my time down tst and the wanch. worst memory was going behind a curtain to the loos and there was a table with the remains of dinner - being completely devoured by rats the size of cats! charged out in a panic and the bar girl's reply: no prollem, dey down bite. result - did my number one behind a parked car in the street.
