I remember that when my aunts visited us from Singapore, we went to Tiger Balm Gardens. Singapore also has Tiger Balm Gardens - which called "Haw Par Villa".

I used to live just around the corner on Wong Nai Chung Road between 1985-7 and remember visiting many times. What a shame it was destroyed to make way for yet another tower block. The low rise block block I lived in, Harcourt House, has since suffered the same fate I believe. Great photo collection which brings back fantastic memories of a magical place? I wish I'd had the foresight to do the same whilst living there!

What a waste. This was lovely, gaudy and magical according to my children. I expect they'll pul down it's replacement in a few years. At least that won't be missed.

Demolished to make way for another monstrous tower. "It's not unique, there's another Tiger Balm Garden in Singapore", they said. And no monstrous towers in Hong Kong, I suppose ...
Well, I'm glad I got to see it before we lost it, at least.

Well at least that one is easy - no mistaking that!
Am enjoying this trip down memory lane ...
