Wow. This is great. The tone and composition of this image are very compelling. Nice capture.

Great portrait! Love the wealth of texture in the image.

Great image! You´re very good at getting close quarters with people and shooting these wonderful environmental portraits..
Rochelle Weiss05-Apr-2005 02:41
Definitely a vote. I love the perspective in this portrait. I also like the texture of the stone wall with the flow of the man's outfit.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 23:30
I'll echo everyone else, and leave a vote.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 22:37
You picked a very effective perspective, well done.

I waited for the crowd to leave so I could get a better view of this..... Yes, appealing to the eye and nicely done! OK...where do they sell the postcards? ;-)
Laryl04-Apr-2005 18:35

Excellent shot AGAIN!

Great image and great courage to shot people on the road. Congratulations for this b&w picture. I really admire your work.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 05:37
As all your photos, this is great and enjoyable image!!!
Guest 04-Apr-2005 05:32
This is great. It has an almost cubist feel with the hand and legs
looking slightly out of proportion- which makes the shot so much more
interesting to study than most portraits. I love it.
Susanne04-Apr-2005 04:47
oh this is excellent! I love the close up on this old man. The lighter shade in the back ground works so well against his darker clothing. Vote.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 04:13
I like the wide-angle perspective, too. He looks rugged up against the cold. Your street portraits are all so intriguing -- lots and lots of stories to be told.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 03:44
One more time a picture which takes care of the character.
Yann Pindeler04-Apr-2005 02:00
Nice mise-en-scene, but I still think that your B&W lacks of contrasts.
Elaine (etfitz)04-Apr-2005 01:30
Excellent portrait!
Chris04-Apr-2005 01:28
I almost thought it said 'PAD' on the wall behind this fellow :) Great shot.
Yvonne04-Apr-2005 00:53
Wonderful portrait...he looks to me like he feels the cold.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 00:36

nomadicdragon04-Apr-2005 00:35

Guest 03-Apr-2005 21:28
Great shot. I like the way it all comes together with the graffiti and the window all contributing
Guest 03-Apr-2005 21:20
your portraits are absolutely stunning...
great use of your "wide" lens and excellent b&w conversion.
ciao

interesting distortion of the wide angle on this portrait. love it.
Si Kirk03-Apr-2005 21:14
wonderful portrait.
Brian Ogilvie03-Apr-2005 21:13
The short focal length really works in this portrait; it emphasizes the legs and hands and makes the man big in comparison with the house in the background. It's dignified without flattery.
Guest 03-Apr-2005 20:38
Great shot! Voted
Guest 03-Apr-2005 20:00
THe softness with a little noise in the background is really beautiful
Gail Davison03-Apr-2005 19:49
Beautiful shot. I too focused on the grafitti in the background. What a world.
