This looks like an old bomb crater WW2. There are many in the area. I was born in 1943 and lived in Badlesmere at Collington Farm where we had several on the farm. In the early 1950's I remember a UXB detonating just after a farmer had gone over it on his tractor and implement. This was on the side of Beacon Hill near Badlesmere in the direction of Molash.
