Gullfoss, unique in the different orientation of the two falls within.
For all it's amazing natural beauty, Iceland is one of the most environmentally degraded countries (deforestation, soil erosion, invasive species) probably mostly because it is so biologically fragile, but they are making progress. The island been inhabited by humans for 1100 years and the history is best known in the Sagas.
