The dark river

I do like a good meander! The Snake Nebula winds it's way through the golden starfields of Ophiuchus, the dark dust clouds obscuring the light of a few of the millions of stars in the bulge of the Milky Way.

Canon EOS 60D
15 x 5 minutes, ISO800, EOS 60D, darks, flats and bias subtracted. 150mm f/5 Newtonian on HEQ5 pro mount, OAG & StarShoot Autoguider. Stacked and processed in PixInsight and Photoshop. full exif
