Ten Messier objects are in this two-frame panorama of the rich Milky Way region of northern Sagittarius.
From the left (northeast), we have the bright nebula regions M16 (Swan Neb) and M17 (Omega Neb), followed by the small open cluster M18. Next is the big bright star cloud M24, the Small Sagittarius Star Cloud. Below M24, is the large bright open cluster M25 a little camouflaged against the Milkyway starclouds; and another large open cluster M23 is well above and a little to the right of M24. Continuing to the right of M24, we reach the pair of objects, the open cluster M21 and the bright nebula M20 (Trifid). The view is bookmarked by the big bright nebula M8, the Lagoon Nebula. One last Messier is hidden in the big star clous in the lower right quadrant of the frame - the globular cluster M28.
Two other distinct NGC nebulae regions are also in view - the NGC 6559 complex near the Lagoon, and IC1283 just below M24.
Focus wasn't perfect for some of the shots, and the mosaicing software has not quite stitched the images seamlessly near M23.
