It's a lovely rich area of the sky, containing the famous Lagoon Nebula at upper centre, the multi-coloured Trifid Nebula looking a little like a flower at lower left. The star-forming region containing the nebulae NGC6559 and IC1275 is the complex to the right of centre. Some see a "Great Foot of Sagittarius" with the Lagoon as the heel, and NGC6559/IC1275 as the toes! Completing the view are the open cluster Messier 21 below the Trifid, and the heavily-obscured globular cluster NGC6544 to the upper right of the Lagoon. The faintest stars I've found on the frame (near M21, according to Wikisky) are below mag. 18, not bad for a DSLR and camera lens.
