Barely visible to our naked eye -- the male finally wakes up. Used 500mm-equiv on SX260 pocket camera. #1035

Oakland Zoo, California

The camera is linked to on the front page - Oakland Zoo, Feb 16 - if you're curious what kind of camera it is.

Bought at Amazon over the holidays for $189, it's usually about $229 now.

The built-in 20x zoom on a very small camera (pocketable in some jackets)
really comes in handy though.

Hey, lucky you! Great catch! I'm thinking when I go back, I'm going to have to "swing" by the lion and tiger areas a couple of times, to try and increase the odds of me seeing them.
