Hadn't visited the Oakland Zoo for about 20 years and it was quite small the last time I saw it, with mainly very young animals and mostly goats and lambs. It's a hilly area and covers quite a bit more now. Will visit the San Francisco Zoo soon also. Used the very small Canon SX260 because of its flexible zoom lens at 20x. To see the images that are 1024 pixels wide (or larger) for the thumbnails below, *click* on 'ORIGINAL' option below the first photo that comes up after you click on a thumbnail. That setting will stay for the full session. (Otherwise, it defaults to the smaller 800 pixels wide.
Click on any thumbnail to get a larger version. Then click on "Next" or "Previous" to see other ones. (A left- or right-arrow keypress also works if your screen is large enough.) |
