I slid the graduated ND filter in front of the Canon SX10's non-interchangeable lens,
with the goal to get the shrubbery's remaining green if possible against the orange of Half Dome.
I didn't have a working tripod with me, as it was missing a part.
Note the gray-brown lower area of Half Dome in both shots here
(more visible in the other, later photo as the sun disappears).
