First day out with the new EF1.4 extender on my 100-400mm. After unsuccesfully
trying to "creep up" (in my car) to a number of his kin as they sat on the fence
posts next to the road, this one stayed put and ignored me. It must have been no
more than 5-6 m away. I didnt even need the 1.4x to get a full frame image, but
I didnt want to risk losing a shot because it flew away whilst I was removing the 1.4x.
Turned out to be a good exercise in the lost skill of manual focussing again though..:)
