This beautiful creature is only 12mm in wingspan. From the tip of the palps to the end of the forewing it is 7mm. Micro moths are rarely observed by laymen but I wanted to put this one on show. The "balding" on top is where scales have come off during its brief sojourn at the light - it does not harm the moth and this one has been released to fly again.
