Hotel Riviera del Pacífico

This is now the Riviera del Pacifico Cultural and Convention Center.
Probably best known because the Margarita was invented by Carlos Daniel "Danny" Herrera there.

Three parts white tequila, two parts Cointreau and one part fresh lemon juice.
Shaken with ice and served in a glass with its rim drenched in lemon juice and covered with salt.

Now that's an honest Margarita. None of the bottle variety passed on in our restaurants where I live. Two of those and you need to lie down and sleep for a while as I did when I used to visit LA in the '60's

tasty and tangy photo...fascinating that the margarita (so popular with fans of sweet drinks) was developed here...a straight up tequila de oro might be preferable though...high quality image Walter..
