After the Storm
The best time to shoot Pelicans in mid-air is after a storm and we had a small one roll through this morning.
This was taken near La Jolla Cove at one of my favorite shooting spots. Unseen to the viewer there are hundreds of Pelicans on the cliff ledge below.
There is one Pelican in the frame, but the ones I shoot are usually much closer.
The view is looking north up the coast. Scripps Pier can be seen on the right side.
