In all of the eight years that I worked as a dental assistant, there was nothing cuter than a child with a snaggled tooth smile. It's a milestone that every parent, and child, must go thru. It's about as awkward as knobby knees, large elbows, and heads that don't quite match the body. It's all part of growing up, and as a Mommie, I do so enjoy it.
This picture may not mean that much to you, but for me, it's the beginning of something new. It's probably going to be the last picture taken of Entomologist with these two baby teeth, intact. The front two baby teeth are well on the way out. The one, letter E, is hanging on with all its might. I give it two, maybe three days, and it will be out. Letter F will be out by the end of May, I would guess. Then I will most likely flood pbase with countless images of my favorite snaggled tooth 6 year old. There is just nothing on earth, in my opinion, that can compare to these smiles. Then comes 8&9, larger than the little mouths that house them.
This is going to be exciting. I enjoy playing toothfairey. (I did have to actually dress up when I worked, for the annual play that we would do for elementary schools, thanks Dr. Kelly.) I always iron out the money, place a little glittery embossing powder (fairey dust) on it, and the bedding. Entomologist wakes up excited, but always comes get me before he checks under his pillow. We have been thru this twice before, and he always reacts the same way. Excitement that he can hardly contain. I will let you know how it goes, until then, the toothfairey is on standby.
