For those who are not baseball fans or who are not old enough to remember the 1951 National League playoff game
between the New York Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers, Bobby Thompson's home run in the
bottom of the 9th inning, with two men on base, won the game and the National League pennant for
the Giants. Thompson, still very much in control of his faculties, was speaking at a seminar in
