0312.jpg

By 10 AM the wind had died to a mere 25 kts and I went on deck to asses the damage. We always keep our life raft in the cockpit because if it had been on deck it would have been torn off as were our grab rails, which had nothing tied to them. I also saw immediately that we had lost our windvane and the main sail, which had been furled on the boom, had been ripped in shreds.
