I doubt that these stairs are used all that much, but I'm still amazed that the OH&S types aren't all over this. "Someone could slip on those plants! And... FALL!"

It's amazing that humans ever made it out of the Rift Valley when you think about it...

Lovely. I see ivy has a similar habit of smothering everything there, given the chance, as it does here in the UK, especially in our garden and on the house. Agree with your observations.
