Pyrmont is home to the national Maritime Museum. This shot shows the former lighthouse ship Carpentaria tied to the wharf. Beyond it is an old lighthouse (specifically the Cape Bowling Green lighthouse from near Townsville in Queensland), and beyond that the towers of the CBD (in particular, the towers of Darling Park). I'm not wildly happy with this shot and will probably make another attempt with different framing next time out. (Edit September 2023: He said, 16 years ago.) I had to crop too much of the PriceWaterhouseCoopers building in the background; when I got the image into Photoshop I found that some kind of pipe on the right hand side of the Carpentaria was more distracting than I originally thought and I had to crop it.

I'm not wildly happy about the relative position of the white lighthouse and the towers of Darling Park either. Still, it's a learning experience...
