Obviously not something that I could have staged, but I did notice this couple walking along the beach with the waves breaking behind them. It was just fortunate timing that a pair of waves broke as I shot, echoing the couple as they did.

This was shot with my most lamentable EF 28-135 lens, whose image quality was sometimes good, and sometimes like a potato, especially when the light was less than optimal. Truthfully this is one of the latter examples. I'm actually surprised that I was still using the 40D with that lens at this point, since (comment from 2024 incoming) I would have had the Olympus E-M1 by then. (Edit: never rely on your memory, always rely on documentation. The Olympus (that one at least) didn't arrive until June 2014.)
