Today I headed for Shellharbour (no, that isn't a mistype) to pick up a few things from one of the stores there and took the opportunity to do a few shots of the urban environment (and in this case the strong verticals of the alleyway) around the central shopping district before breakfast.
(A breakfast of eggs benedict, orange juice and coffee at The Coffee Club. Such niiiiice eggs benedict, too... That is The. Best. Coffee Club I've ever been to.)
I must admit to a slight cheat in this one. I needed to boost the contrast a bit in the laneway, which was a fraction too dark. I therefore applied a levels adjustment layer and tweaked to fix that. However when I did so I blew out the morning light in the sky so I whacked on a layer mask and removed the sky from the adjustment.
This is, therefore, a Clayton's HDR shot. (The HDR you have, when you're not having an HDR.)
