I have a work project that just doesn’t seem to be gaining traction. My own projects are on the backburner, which is something that I should know better than to do. The battery in my notebook is starting to fail.

"Things", as Gordo Cooper laconically put it during his Mercury space flight when the functioning of his capsule was {cough} sub-optimal, "are beginning to stack up a little".

All you can do is hold on and go along with the ride until you get on top of things again.
