The weather has been fairly disgusting yet again. Uncomfortably hot but more to the point, humid. The humidity probably came from the easterly breezes which have kept the temperatures from being as bad as they might have been (and as bad as they have been in other parts of the country), but have nonetheless turned the coast into a sauna which is in some ways even more uncomfortable than heat as such. (Though I don't think I'd want to swap with Hay, an inland town which had a top temperature of 48.1 degrees yesterday.)
The humidity has probably also contributed to the foggy low cloud that can be seen over the Illawarra escarpment in the background of this shot. That almost looks like a cloudbank which might bring cooling, drenching rain after the last of the afternoon sun goes... but it almost certainly won't.
