It seems that I was predestined to take a shot like this.

Before setting out yesterday I noticed a very large spider web which had a leaf stuck in the middle of it. I decided to take some shots of it with the macro lens and intended those to be my photo a day for that day. However I preferred the shots of Lucy, and used one of those instead. (Even though Lucy spent part of this afternoon sitting in the front yard, staring at my car, thinking that if she stared at it long enough "teh hoominoid with teh black click box" who owned it would go away.)

When I got home that night I noticed that the web had been partially destroyed and the leaf was gone, so I didn't expect to get another shot of that today. However when I went out this morning I noticed that another leaf had been caught in the web's remains. That was a good enough sign for me, so I took the shot.
