OK, it's not really by night but it was certainly getting into evening. Grey-headed flying foxes, a.k.a. fruit bats, often make their way between the Royal Botanic Gardens near Circular Quay, and swamp lands near Moore Park. On this particular night there were squadrons of them overhead, wave after wave of them.
