After Friday's concrete jungle and yesterday's greenery, we come back to something that falls part way between.
As I've mentioned in the past, Rhodes was previously a heavy industrial site by the Parramatta River which has since been rehabilitated as modern medium to high density (and medium to high priced) apartment blocks.
Here we see a dawn view from an outcrop looking east across Homebush Bay (an inlet on the south side of the Parramatta River) towards the main Rhodes peninsula.

Edit January 2024: This place was once so familiar to me, but I'd rarely be there more than annually now and then usually only to the shopping centre which would be (I think) to the right of here. I've been trying to work out where I took this from. I think it was from the Shipwreck Lookout in Sydney Olympic Park, on the other side of the bay. (Yes, there ARE some shipwrecks in this bay - as I said it was once an industrial site - but they are a subject for another time.)
